Iron Range Today Editor Jerry Burnes hosted a panel discussion for the release of The Mine Next Door by University of Minnesota professor Amy O’Connor on June 4.

The discussion focused largely on the relationship between Cleveland-Cliffs and the Hibbing Taconite union, the United Steelworkers Local 2705. The mine has neared its end of life due to ore depletion over the years.
