Iron Range Today is an independent, reliable and community-focused nonprofit news source that provides essential and thoughtful coverage of the issues and people of the Iron Range and Greater Minnesota.
What we’re about
Iron Range Today is an independent, 501(c)(3) nonprofit newsroom that produces thoughtful, in-depth and community journalism from the Iron Range and Greater Minnesota about the region’s culture, people, politics, economy and civic affairs.
Our coverage is free to readers through our website and, with permission, we offer free republication to other news organizations (republication guidelines coming soon! – Email Jerry about republication in the interim). Iron Range Today aims to highlight and inform readers on the issues they face, going deeper than the headlines and sound bytes to engage on how the Iron Range and its future are shaped by these issues.
We do not endorse candidates for office and will consider commentary pieces from the community, but will not publish unsigned columns, political endorsements or attacks. Our goal in submitted commentary is to encourage and foster civil discussion from many points of views on topics, and encourage commentaries to focus on moving that discussion forward in a thoughtful manner.
We provide news and analysis based on reporting by professional journalists and adhere to the Society of Professional Journalists’ Code of Ethics.
Iron Range Today is 100% independent. The stories published here do not represent our employers or their views, nor do we serve as representatives our those employers through Iron Range Today.
